AboutThe Club was formed in 1969 to enable local children to swim competitively. Mote Park Swimming Club changed its name and moved to the Larkfield Leisure Centre in November 1997 in order to take advantage of the newly built pool. Young children of any age or ability can be accepted into the teaching section of the club and the usual progression is:
Once accepted into the main club, swimmers are expected to swim regularly on Club Night (Thursday at Larkfield 8 pm) and to attend at least one of the other sessions. In sport, excellence is achieved through hard work. For swimmers, this means attending sessions and galas. The main way to improve your swimming is to swim. Those swimmers selected for galas will be expected to purchase club costume and swimming hat amongst other items needed. As your swimming improves you will be able to enter competitions and these range from Club Champs, Various inter-club and league galas, Medway championships and then Kents and South East Region. |
