Larkfield Swimming Club participates in a number of League galas every year, including: The Millenium League; The Kent Junior League; The Arena League, as well as participating in The Medway Championships every year, open to all competitive swimmers in the Medway area.

The Kent County Championships are held every year in late January and throughout February, normally at Crystal Palace and the London Aquatic Centre, known as the Olympic pool at Stratford and over the last few years we have seen a rise in the number of our swimmers who have represented Larkfield at the Championships.

The South East Regionals are normally held at K2 in Crawley in May.  In 2017 and we had two swimmers representing Larkfield, a 200% increase on 2016!

Mini Gala

A beginner level, usually held in January, aimed at our younger swimmers gaining valuable experience in what may be their first competitive gala.  It is also an opportunity for older, more experienced swimmers to swim Time Trials.

Club Championships

The Club Championships are an inter-club event, held every year over several days and is a wonderful opportunity for swimmers of all abilities to compete against their peers.  As a level 4 event, any Kent times achieved will count!  There is a trophy for the winner of each event, which is handed out at our Presentation Disco, usually in January.  The medal haul on these occasions are a wonderful incentive for the swimmers!

The Millenium League

A series of 6 development galas throughout the year, designed to give new swimmers the opportunity to gain experience of competition and those that might not have the opportunity to compete in some of the tougher competitions.  No swimmers who have gained a Kent County qualifying time are permitted to swim, unless they are swimming two age groups above their own and there is a time default for anyone who swims faster than the entry time.  This process evens out the competition, which means the league remains at a development level and the children competing have the opportunity to compete against other swimmers of a similar ability.

The Kent Junior League
This league is aimed at children under the age of 14 years in Kent and while promoting the advancement of younger swimmers, this is a more competitive league than the Millenium League.  It's a great chance for the children to race against new clubs (we compete against difference clubs in each gala).

The Arena League
This is a National League and is the highest level league Larkfield Swimming Club competes in.  It is a great opportunity for experiences competitors to broaden their experience against some very competitive clubs!
